  2. Marzanna Bugs! :)
  3. Daniel This is fixed in current master
  4. lovetox should been, i thought i fixed this some weeks ago
  5. Hiker Windows version - how to change to an other language? Environ variable LANG is set.
  6. lovetox Hiker, its a bug, language is only correct in nightly for now
  7. lovetox https://gajim.org/downloads/snap/win/
  8. Hiker Will try.
  9. Hiker Yes - Windows version 2018-08-09 language now as environ LANG. Thanks.
  10. mikaela That address confuses me as it makes me think of snap packages which it likely predates? Sorry, I haven't had time to update
  11. lovetox snap means snapshot

  13. marmistrz Oh dear, I haven't used my computer for over two weeks and now Gajim's downloading all messages from MUC-MAM from these all two weeks. Can I somehow prevent it?
  14. marmistrz I know that there could possibly be some mentions in the old logs, but as far as I can see, Conversations doesn't download all the ancient logs.
  15. bot Philipp Hörist closed an issue in _gajim_ < https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/issues/9283 >: #9283: < Issue with PGP keys >
  16. lovetox marmistrz, 2 weeks seems a perfectly normal amount of time i would want to have all messages from
  17. lovetox the only solution to this problem is letting the user request whatever history he wants on demand
  18. lovetox but thats sadly not easy to implement

  21. marmistrz lovetox, can we query how much of the history is available in MUC-MAM
  22. marmistrz lovetox, can we query how much of the history is available in MUC-MAM?
  23. lovetox no
  24. lovetox thats not perfectly right, some servers give you an estimation
  25. lovetox others dont
  26. MattJ How would it help?
  27. marmistrz MattJ, we could ask the user then
  28. marmistrz MattJ, we could ask the user then, if the estimation is high
  29. bot Marcin created an issue in _gajim_ < https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/issues/9284 >: #9284: < XEP-0308 message correction is allowed through the UI even if the MUC doesn't support it >
  30. Maranda hu?
  31. Maranda even if the "muc doesn't support it"? what, when, why?
  32. marmistrz Maranda, that's through the biboumi bridge. The message isn't actually corrected at all, a new message is sent instead.
  33. MattJ Yeah, that issue doesn't make sense
  34. MattJ marmistrz, that's normal behaviour - all message corrections do this for clients that don't support them
  35. MattJ Even in MUCs
  36. marmistrz ah, so the actual behavior is actually what the xep expects us to do?
  37. marmistrz that's funny, because even gajim itself thinks that the message was not corrected :P
  38. MattJ Yeah, that's because of biboumi not being able to track the message through IRC
  39. MattJ But in a way it gives you a more realistic view of what people on IRC see
  40. MattJ Corrections were designed so that if they aren't supported, the corrected message is just displayed instead, so that happens on IRC as well as any participants in a MUC with old clients, etc.

  46. soccerhub Hi. I wanted to black out joins parts and quits and unticked the boxes, but it does not go
  47. Maranda soccerhub, in theory that's the default for 1.0.x+
  48. soccerhub Hmm
  49. soccerhub Maybe an error
  50. Maranda soccerhub, or corrupted db/config?
  51. soccerhub I can not tell. I'm not an expert
  52. soccerhub Maranda, Checking version
  53. soccerhub Maranda, Ugh. My version is 0.16.7
  54. Maranda ☺️
  55. soccerhub So, im going to file for upgrading
  56. soccerhub tks 4 support
  57. asterix soccerhub, also for bookmarks, you configure that in bookmark window for each room
  58. soccerhub what do you mean by that ?
  59. lovetox open the bookmark window
  60. lovetox select a bookmark and set the status options
  61. soccerhub OK lovetox
  62. soccerhub I see it. Therre is a status option : all / zero and join/leave
  63. debacle (how) can I scroll up using keyboard?
  64. lovetox SHIFT + PAGEUP
  65. debacle thanks, works!
  66. soccerhub seems to work
  67. soccerhub cool thanks
  68. XRevan86 Hi, I've noticed Gajim 1.0+ breaks notify-osd by unconditionally utilising actions. What do you think of https://paste.debian.net/1037588 :) ?
  69. lovetox yes XRevan86 interesting, didnt know we can get this info
  70. lovetox but we add a button to the notification for the case that it does not is able to use actions
  71. lovetox your patch removes also that
  72. lovetox so if you click the notification nothing would happen
  73. lovetox hm no we use the action also for the button
  74. lovetox how does the notification break?
  75. XRevan86 https://bazaar.launchpad.net/~indicator-applet-developers/notify-osd/trunk/view/head:/src/stack.c#L611
  76. XRevan86 lovetox: Hmm, you mean, set_default_action_and_target?
  77. lovetox it pops up a dialog, lol thats very bad
  78. lovetox default action definies what happens if you click the notification, in case there are more then one button/action
  79. lovetox i just dont get how you can use the notification
  80. lovetox yes i can remove the action in your case, but if you click it nothing will happen, there is no link back to the application
  81. lovetox or maybe this is not wished with notify_osd
  82. lovetox either way you can provide a MR
  83. XRevan86 lovetox: A second, I try to restore the default action
  84. XRevan86 will probably work
  85. XRevan86 that also doesn't work
  86. XRevan86 lovetox: With notify-osd that's just the best one can do, since actions just don't work.
  87. lovetox ok good
  88. XRevan86 I've also found something peculiar
  89. XRevan86 Bookmark names of MUCs are parsed as XML with set_markup
  90. XRevan86 I get a warning of invalid XML
  91. lovetox where? in the bookmark window?
  92. XRevan86 lovetox: In the tab title
  93. XRevan86 I've managed to format it with XML by setting valid markup through the bookmark manager
  94. lovetox yes i can reproduce thanks
  95. bot Philipp Hörist pushed 1 commit to branch _refs/heads/master_ of _gajim_ < https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim >: *71586e01* < https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/commit/71586e01d227bf7ea70714fdef3fa96fd4ddb5da > Escape groupchat name in tab label
  96. lovetox should be fixed XRevan86 ^
  97. XRevan86 lovetox: nice :)
  98. XRevan86 lovetox: What do you use for a GitLab bot, BTW?
  99. lovetox thats a xmpp bot, gitlab executes a hook on a commit, and the xmpp bot receives that and posts the data
  100. lovetox asterix, probably can tell you which bot he uses
  101. XRevan86 lovetox: Oh well, doesn't matter, I need an IRC bot anyway :).
  102. lovetox yeah though probably same story
  103. lovetox if the bot runs on your server, gitlab can execute a webhook on each commit
  104. lovetox and your server receives the data
  105. lovetox then you can trigger your xmpp bot from there
  106. lovetox *irc
