  3. bot Daniel Brötzmann modified an issue in _gajim-plugins_ < https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim-plugins/issues/335 >: #335: < major Omemo MAM catchup issue >
  4. nuron >depends on what your second computer runs for a OS As well debian stretch and installed from the backports...
  5. lovetox then you upgraded there maybe from a old gajim version that had the plugin_installer shipped
  6. lovetox but debian does not ship it anymore because they provide the plugins in debian repos
  7. nuron hmm maybe..
  8. concerto This message was encrypted with OMEMO and could not be decrypted.
  9. Zash Guvf zrffntr jnf rapelcgrq jvgu EBG13 naq pbhyq abg or qrpelcgrq.
  10. concerto 😂
  11. concerto Gajim v20180718-1, OMEMO plugin v2.5.14. I noted that Gajim's icon in the notifications area was the blue globe, and I noticed it hadn't received messages in a private MUC on jabber.fr. I set status to offline, then online. Instead of the messages sent in that MUC in the meantime, I got the above OMEMO decryption error, even for messages I sent myself from Conversations. I can provide debug logs if required.
  12. concerto Oh, I also got "<muc address> does not exist" for loads of MUCs when I reconnected.
  13. lovetox like in a popup?
  14. lovetox are you using git master?
  15. concerto lovetox: Yeah, popups. gajim-default-nightly
  16. lovetox yeah im refactoring a lot of code, and this is a bad time to be on master
  17. lovetox but i hope to straigthen out all the stuff soon
  18. concerto Cool! Thanks and good luck ^^
  19. bot Philipp Hörist pushed 8 commits to branch _refs/heads/master_ of _gajim_ < https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim >: https://conference.gajim.org:5281/pastebin/62862bc7-2f95-4856-81ae-adf0e1f2d02c

  21. Daniel You're doing quite some heavy work here, lovetox.. Applause for that!
  22. lovetox means many more new bugs ^^
  23. lovetox but i think this makes the codebase much easier to understand, and easier to fix problems in the future, and add new stuff
  24. Zash New code, new bugs \o/
  25. Daniel Right, separating and refactoring all these parts will definitely make bug fixing life easier. Also new contributors will profit very much fron this :)
  26. Link Mauve lovetox, did you force-push?
  27. Link Mauve I get conflicts when I want to pull.
  28. lovetox no, force push is disabled
  29. Link Mauve I’m on commit 4fb4cf27c0fce9ae8879d950b0584b9490c45d36 which doesn’t exist on origin/master. oO
  30. lovetox sure you are in master branch?
  31. lovetox last time you posted you were in messagewindow branch
  32. Link Mauve 5ed9768b874d13ddfe9e374752febcbe06b52d12 has two children, 54b5dec6c73ba470799f5cd01b9a148d5f4cb974 in one case, d5c0933daf843152d97d87cbcf2667fbe32479b0 in the other case.
  33. Link Mauve I switched to master a few days ago, before the last pull.
  34. lovetox sure you are on gajim repo master
  35. lovetox and not on lovetox repo master
  36. lovetox because in lovetox master repo i force push all the time
  37. nico concerto: I opened an issue about that. Could you describe it in there again so the devs can see it? > nico created an issue in _gajim-plugins_ < https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim-plugins/issues/335 >: > #335: < major Omemo MAM catchup issue >
  38. concerto nico: okay, I'll do it later today
  39. lovetox concerto, but please update before to current HEAD
  40. lovetox maybe this fixes the problem
  41. concerto lovetox: how would I reproduce it?
  42. concerto It was one-off, wasn't happening before, didn't happen again
  43. nico I tried to break the procedure down but I guess it is not doing it 100% of the time.
  44. lovetox nico was that in a MUC?
  45. lovetox or 1:1
  46. nico In my case 3 times in muc and once in 1:1
  47. lovetox hm then update to current HEAD and try to reproduce it
  48. lovetox like you written it, it should happen on all MAM catchups?
  49. nico I will try when I am back home later. Maybe concerto a perspective clears up some procedural stuff 😊
  50. lovetox mathieui, Link Mauve does poezio have a test for its entity caps hash generation?
  51. lovetox Gajim shows me this
  52. lovetox 22.07.2018 20:44:49 (I) gajim.c.m.caps: Computed and retrieved caps hash differ. Ignoring caps of contact gajim@conference.gajim.org/mathieui gajim@conference.gajim.org gajim@conference.gajim.org/mathieui
  53. Link Mauve lovetox, our testing story is… somewhat lacking.
  54. Link Mauve But this would be in slixmpp anyway.
  55. lovetox ah yes
  56. lovetox i guess the hash generation is probably ok, but maybe poezio adds some feature, and the presence is not updated
  57. lovetox its more likely then a wrong hash algo
  58. Link Mauve lovetox, that sounds unlikely, slixmpp regenerates that automatically on changes to the 0030 plugin.
  59. ilac Can Gajim 1.x shows for how long a contact is offline like it was in older versions?
  60. lovetox i dont think so ilac
  61. lovetox if you have a chat open with the contact, you see the timestamp when he went offline
  62. ilac lovetox, I think that would work only if I save history.
  63. lovetox hm do you have contacts that use conversations?
  64. lovetox you could tell them to activate sending idle time in options
  65. ilac lovetox, ah, the idle time.
  66. ilac idle time works.
  67. lovetox if they do this, maybe gajim doesnt delete the timestamp after they going offline
  68. lovetox but yes, seems useful, can you open a issue on the tracker?
  69. lovetox soon i come to visit the idle module for refactoring, then i look if we can add this
  70. ilac lovetox, I can.
  71. bot Philipp Hörist pushed 1 commit to branch _refs/heads/master_ of _gajim_ < https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim >: *a943a35a* < https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/commit/a943a35a5da5577b47dcd929afc1d233b3e4c850 > Move caps code into own module
  72. Link Mauve Is there a way to make the Flatpak version use localisation?
  73. 404.city Flatpak version no support OMEMO
  74. Link Mauve My users don’t care.
  75. Link Mauve They want to chat.
  76. lovetox Link Mauve, if you compile it from master it should work
  77. lovetox or do you mean the flathub version?
  78. Link Mauve Ah, so 1.0.3 doesn’t have it?
  79. Link Mauve I think this user got it from flathub.
  80. lovetox no we forgot to point it to the correct path for locals
  81. Link Mauve Oh.
  82. Link Mauve Could you make another release with it fixed?
  83. Link Mauve I’m pretty sure she won’t be able to compile it herself.
  84. nuron I have a solutin for my problem with the plugins...
  85. nuron when you install the plugin 'plugin installer' from a zip ( https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim-plugins/wikis/PluginInstallerPlugin ) all plugins are listed an are ready to install
  86. lovetox but without dependencys
  87. lovetox ...
  88. lovetox plugin installer is not a package manager
  89. lovetox i dont get why you try so hard not to use apt-get
  90. lovetox Link Mauve, actually we cant do independent releases for flathub, so we would have to release Gajim 1.0.4
  91. lovetox though if asterix has time, i could merge some commits and we could do that anyway
  92. Link Mauve There is no 1.0.3-2 you could do just for this release?
  93. Link Mauve That’s surprising, every package manager handles package versions in addition to upstream versions.
  94. lovetox flathub works with git tags
  95. lovetox we dont supply something to them
  96. lovetox so i would first have to cherry pick the fix into 1.0 branch
  97. lovetox then add a git tag
  98. lovetox and at that point we could also just build and release for every distri
  99. nuron lovetox, i have no problem using apt but how are the plugins called in apt?
  100. lovetox https://packages.debian.org/search?searchon=names&keywords=gajim
  101. nuron oh well, i don't had the idea to look at the debian page... shame on me
  102. lovetox even the plugininstaller is there :)
  103. nuron hmm i'm quiet now ;)
