  3. aora hello.
  4. aora what is the main discussion in this room?
  5. Asterix aora: Gajim XMPP client
  6. aora Gajim also runs on MS Windows?
  7. aora I am looking for some software to buy. Can anyone help me?
  8. SouL aora, what are you looking for?
  9. aora Soul, can we talk in private chat?
  10. Asterix aora: Yesit works under window. No you can't buy it, it's opensource
  11. aora Asterix, thank you. so I can download it free?
  12. 7usr7local https://upload.jabber.de:5281/upload/VvbAY55y6Uj2ymr9/uzFrh9Y-T4CjTT7Yswbt4A.jpg
  13. 7usr7local Sorry, wrong chat. (Conversation shuffels chats under my fingertip while selecting target for sharing)
  14. SouL 7usr7local, you are not alone, don't worry... Something worse happened to me.
  15. SouL You can't imagine how I hate that
  16. zuglufttier Just read in the settings of gajim: "Warning: Gajim 0.99.1 and later versions come with HTTP Upload integrated as core functionality. This plugin is not needed any longer."
  17. zuglufttier Finally, when will the OMEMO plugin merge as well? :D
  18. 7usr7local SouL: Yeah, I am happy, there are no people on that picture.
  19. aora 7usr7local: beautiful picture! I like it very much.
  20. 7usr7local aora: Thank you.
  21. lovetox 7usr7local, looks like germany
  22. lovetox :D
  23. 7usr7local lovetox: Indeed
  24. aora 7usr7local: especially, the flowers in the picture, so beautiful. Can you tell me the name of that flower?
  25. lovetox haha :D
  26. 7usr7local aora: I guess it is "plastic"
  27. zuglufttier The white ones in the front are most certainly orchids.
  28. zuglufttier Made of plant material :D
  29. aora 7usr7local: "plastic"? looks like real one!
  30. aora well, anyone knows about exploits?
  31. zuglufttier Flower exploits?
  32. aora No. Windows exploits. I want to buy them. Please, someone help me.
  33. zuglufttier Well, I usually just install it and wait until something breaks. Works most of the time pretty good.
  34. SouL Hahaha

  40. lovetox Holger, does mod_irc for ejabbered does not support disco#info?
  41. Holger lovetox: It does, according to the code.
  42. Holger (I don't use it.)
  43. lovetox ok thanks, i have a bug report where it seems to reply with not-implemented
  44. lovetox but i will ask for mod version
  45. lovetox Holger, or mods can not be updated independenly?
  46. lovetox he says he uses ejabbered 18.01
  47. lovetox so i guess this is pretty recent
  48. Holger Is the server public? TBH I'm not too motivated to look into it. mod_irc should just die.
  49. Holger I mean if you'd like me to I'll look. But I have no personal interest in fixing any mod_irc issues.
  50. Holger (People should be using biboumi.)
  51. lovetox ok i will recommend that

  58. jjrh I'm having a hard time understanding what 'flatpak' is
  59. jjrh is the idea to basically include ALL the dependencies in a container of sorts so you're not relying on the system packages? (aka if the latest gobject stuff isn't included in my distribution I can still run the latest gajim)
  60. jjrh Yeah looks like that's what it does
  61. jjrh I guess there is also 'snap'
  62. lovetox thats one purpose
  63. lovetox the other purpose is, it runs in a sandbox
  64. lovetox which you can limit permission wise with your system
  65. lovetox for example, application should have no internet access, or no dbus access
  66. jjrh ah neat.
  67. jjrh I'm mostly interested in having a easy way for people to install a recent version of gajim - more than half the people at my work /still/ use pidgin :(
  68. jjrh also be kinda useful for me since my workstation is on ubuntu 14.04 but in my case i'll probably do a forklift upgrade in the next month or so
  69. jjrh lovetox almost got the logging stuff done. I'm just getting the log filtering stuff implemented. I made sure it's easy to use the current logging system.
  70. lovetox nice
  71. jjrh been a good way at getting a better grasp of the codebase
