Gajim - 2017-12-20

  1. googlefisch Hi! I'm (obviously) new to Gajim. I searched the FAQ, the wiki etc. - how can I disable messages like "xyz has entered the chat room", "abc has left"?
  2. googlefisch This isn't the "status", right?
  3. pep. googlefisch, these are called presences, or probably join and parts here, I don't use gajim, not sure where to find that
  4. googlefisch pep., thanks, unfortunately I can't find settings for that...
  5. bronko googlefisch, try ACE (Advanced Config Editor) under Preferences -> Advanced (last Tab) and set "print_status_in_muc" (see Description for possible values)
  6. googlefisch bronko, thank you very much! I just searched for "presence" in ACE...
  7. bot Link Mauve created an issue in _gajim_ <https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/issues/8817>: #8817: <Allow MUC configuration even when we are not owner or admin>
  8. int any idea how i can fix these crashes? MacOS High Sierra with newest gajim https://pastebin.com/z0enFEVb
  9. Link Mauve int, looks like a GTK+ error, please report to them.
  10. int Link Mauve, thx

API is no more available. Fixes #248
  12. bettman Hi folks, is there any way to disable the status messages of the MUC itself, e.g. "Gajim 1.0.0-alpha2 is now ready..."? This setting print_status_in_muc: none only deactivates the status messages of the users, not the MUC. I am using Gajim on Linux, version 16.5 and have not changed anything except the above mentioned setting
  13. Asterix bettman, This is the subject of the room, and no there is no way to disable showing ot
  14. Asterix bettman, This is the subject of the room, and no there is no way to disable showing it
  15. bettman Asterix: Too bad, but thanks for your prompt answer!
  16. debacle bettman, Asterix, there is a filter plugin that might do it, right?
  17. Asterix debacle, really? which plugin?

  20. debacle Asterix, not sure whether it would work, but Regexfilterplugin sounds like it would do it?
  21. Asterix that wouldn't remove all subjects of all rooms ...
  22. bot Link Mauve created an issue in _gajim_ <https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim/issues/8819>: #8819: <Expose ad-hoc commands on every entity proposing them>
  23. debacle Asterix, OK (and also: I really don't want to remove room subjects)
