  2. contrapunctus o/
  3. contrapunctus Whenever I try to upload a file in Gajim, I'm getting this - Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/share/gajim/src/dialogs.py", line 1495, in on_dialog_response self.response_ok(dialog) File "/home/anon/.local/share/gajim/plugins/httpupload/httpupload.py", line 336, in on_file_dialog_ok progress_window = ProgressWindow(_('Requesting HTTP Upload Slot...'), progress_messages, self.plugin, event) File "/home/anon/.local/share/gajim/plugins/httpupload/httpupload.py", line 627, in __init__ self.dialog.set_transient_for(plugin.chat_control.parent_win.window) AttributeError: 'NoneType' object has no attribute 'window'
  4. contrapunctus Debian Testing, Gajim v0.16.8, GTK+ v2.24.31, PyGTK v2.24.0
  5. contrapunctus (oh, it happens after I select the file to upload)
  6. lovetox contrapunctus, this is long fixed in my book
  7. lovetox on what version of httpupload are you?
  8. lovetox did you install httpupload from the debian repos?
  9. lovetox or via plugin installer
  10. contrapunctus lovetox, I accidentally uninstalled the plugin manager (!!!), I think I had it installed there as well as from the repos
  11. lovetox no problem
  12. lovetox https://ftp.gajim.org/plugins_0.16_zip/plugin_installer.zip
  13. lovetox extrakt this to your plugin dir
  14. contrapunctus the version in the repos is 0.4.6-1
  15. lovetox thats weird
  16. lovetox the last version is 0.4.6
  17. lovetox but the line reference in your traceback dont match to the current code of 0.4.6
  18. lovetox could you reinstall httpupload with the plugin manager
  19. lovetox and try if it works
  20. contrapunctus lovetox: I installed the plugin manager, updated the HTTP Upload and OMEMO plugins, and restarted Gajim. Now I get this when I try to send a file - http://ix.io/yx8
  21. lovetox hm rejoin the muc
  22. contrapunctus I can't even seem to send messages from Gajim anymore, even in this room - I get this - http://ix.io/yx9
  23. lovetox thats a omemo error
  24. lovetox from upgrading httpupload?
  25. lovetox or did you also upgrade omemo?
  26. contrapunctus Both.
  27. lovetox hm only in groupchats?
  28. contrapunctus Yeah, I think so
  29. lovetox hm i check this one moment
  30. lovetox no i cant reproduce this hm
  31. lovetox does it happen in any MUC?
  32. lovetox does it happen in all MUC?
  33. mrDoctorWho Hi! Is there a way to show only omemo plugin messages in debug logs?
  34. lovetox -l gajim.plugin_system.omemo=DEBUG
  35. mrDoctorWho thanks
  36. lovetox contrapunctus, does it also happen after a restart?
  37. lovetox maybe it has to do with the upgrade process
  38. lovetox the first error you posted seems definitly caused by upgrading the plugin while joined groupchats
  39. lovetox yeah and the second one also
  40. lovetox so restart should solve this
  41. contrapunctus lovetox, whew, thanks, that did it.
  42. lovetox maybe i should pop up a dialog "Please restart Gajim"
  43. contrapunctus lovetox, could this be fixed? Stuff that doesn't need any restarting is nicer.
  44. lovetox hm probably but not in 0.16.8
  45. contrapunctus Cool :)
  46. mimi89999 Link Mauve: It is the content type that is set by the PHP script from Prosody's mod_http_upload_external and I won't play with PHP.
  47. lovetox then make a bug report :)
  48. lovetox asd asd asd asd asd asd
  49. lovetox wups
  50. Link Mauve mimi89999, I remember people telling you many times that this one was just a demo file, which should be improved before being used in production.
  51. mimi89999 Link Mauve: Yes, but the only other PHP script I was pointed to was moparisthebest's PHP script that only works with Nginx.
  52. mimi89999 Link Mauve: Unless I missed something.
  53. Link Mauve Dunno, I don’t use PHP.
  54. mimi89999 Link Mauve: You use http_upload?
  55. Link Mauve I deploy it on the services I administrate.
  56. Link Mauve I have much better ways to share files otherwise.
  57. mimi89999 Link Mauve: How?
  58. Link Mauve mimi89999, generally scp.
  59. mimi89999 Link Mauve: But that's not for 'normal' users...
  60. Link Mauve These can just use Jingle, or the Prosody service I provide.
  61. mimi89999 That won't let then send videos in rooms.
  62. Link Mauve I think you are wrong.
  63. mimi89999 Link Mauve: Jingle in MUC?
  64. Link Mauve For example.
  65. mimi89999 Not in Conv
  66. Link Mauve Well, too bad then.
  67. bot Philipp Hörist pushed 1 commit to branch _refs/heads/master_ of _gajim-plugins_ <https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim-plugins>: *cebea4a3* <https://dev.gajim.org/gajim/gajim-plugins/commit/cebea4a382c6130a746455803a85c1300cae70f8> [omemo] Raise min version to 0.16.6
  68. contrapunctus lovetox, something seems funky with message correction. The corrected message seems to be sent as a new one, instead of replacing the old one. (no, I didn't press Ctrl-up twice)
  69. Hiker Hi there. I got a file from a user - the conversation was OMEMO encrypted. The file seems to be encrypted, too. How do decrypt?
  70. lovetox click the link
  71. Hiker Link?
  72. lovetox how did you get the file?
  73. Hiker Puuh - I got a window which asked me if I accept it - I have no more information.
  74. lovetox then you can decrypt it
  75. lovetox you contact has to use a server which supports httpupload
  76. lovetox so the encrypted file is sent as a link
  77. lovetox contrapunctus, so does you message now mean your problem is solved?
  78. Hiker But the stored file is encrypted and can't be decrypted, right?
  79. lovetox no it cant be decrypted
  80. lovetox at least not by gajim
  81. Hiker Little bit strange... by what then?
  82. lovetox to my knowledge nothing
  83. contrapunctus lovetox, that was fixed earlier - http://ix.io/yxt
  84. lovetox no i meant your last message about message correction
  85. contrapunctus lovetox, do you mean this? 2017-07-08T21:40:35+0530 <contrapunctus> Why is it not possible to correct one's last sent message in a chat if one signs out and signs in again?
  86. lovetox no lol
  87. lovetox [18:17:48] ‎contrapunctus‎: lovetox, something seems funky with message correction. The corrected message seems to be sent as a new one, instead of replacing the old one. (no, I didn't press Ctrl-up twice)
  88. lovetox you wrote that 10 minutes ago and cant remember?
  89. contrapunctus lovetox, ah, you're referring to that. No, it's still problematic...
  90. lovetox what is the problem
  91. lovetox it works for me with 0.16.8
  92. lovetox what are you using?
  93. contrapunctus lovetox, corrected messages (sent from Gajim) show up in the backlog (not history) as a new message. Gajim v0.16.8 from Debian Testing.
  94. lovetox what do you mean with backlog
  95. lovetox when you close and open the window?
  96. contrapunctus no, just the regular history in the chat window.
  97. lovetox so what you dont see that as a correction
  98. lovetox so what you dont see that as a correction (test)
  99. contrapunctus I see this correctly, as one message ^
  100. contrapunctus (I thought message correction didn't work in public MUCs)
  101. lovetox it does work, some clients tend to not allow it
  102. contrapunctus (I thought message correction didn't work in public MUCs!)
  103. lovetox i see your message also correctly as a correction
  104. contrapunctus correction is working in this MUC o_O
