  5. andrey.utkin one more issue - when you are on a tab with a buddy who is at "composing message" status, you cannot switch away to any other chat tab with ctrl+tab most of time
  6. bot RSS: Feeds for Gajim • Ticket #8344 (Gajim 0.16.5 w/ OTR plugin annoys people complaining on MUCs about OTR) created Bug description When you complain about OTR in a MUC (by writing "?OTRv2" somewhere in the middle of a message), all Gajim users will initiate OTR key exchanges with you via MUC private messages. I can understand how performing a key exchange for a MUC via PMs might be usable, but please-pretty-p[…] https://trac.gajim.org/ticket/8344
  7. mathieui perfect bug reporting.
  8. lovetox haha
  9. bot RSS: Feeds for Gajim • Ticket #8344 (Gajim 0.16.5 w/ OTR plugin annoys people complaining on MUCs about OTR) closed invalid: Gajim doesn't implement OTR. It's implemented in a plugin. So please report the bug on the plugin bug tracker: https://trac-plugins.gajim.org/ But you have to know that this plugin is not maintained anymore. A patch would have a better chance to be applied. https://trac.gajim.org/ticket/8344#comment:1
  10. JKing I imagine it wouldn't be a difficult fix...
  11. Asterix never used that plugin nor looked at the code
  12. Asterix yeah ! I finaly found the kick on regex in bot !!
  13. SouL Why it kicks the same users? Because their names?
  14. mathieui because of https://trac.gajim.org/ticket/8344
  15. Asterix it was because of this regex
  16. mathieui and the hex regex in the bot
  17. Asterix I removed the regex
  18. Asterix ha yes, because of that, because it's printed by the bot in the logs
  19. arune 🖖🖖🖖
  20. Asterix funny :D
  21. Ge0rG Asterix: you spoiled all the fun :(
  22. mister ;-)
  23. Asterix good way to know who has the otr plugin enabled
  24. Ge0rG that bot doesn't like me. Or the fact that I'm polite: Submission rejected as potential spam SpamBayes determined spam probability of 99.81%
  25. Asterix notthe same bot ...
  26. Asterix let me tell bayes that it's not spam
  27. Asterix ok try again ... I learnt him it's HAM
  28. Asterix much better !
  29. JKing Mmmm, ham...
  30. Asterix Ge0rG: yes of course I have the ability to do it, but you know, I'm nearly the only one developing Gajim, and I have several other jobs arround that. Unfortunatly my days only have 24 hours, and I can't do everything.
  31. Asterix Ge0rG: but maybe what you ask me is to remove the plugin system and the ability for contributors to develop and share plugins that I don't maintain myself?
  32. bot RSS: Feeds for Gajim • Ticket #8344 (Gajim 0.16.5 w/ OTR plugin annoys people complaining on MUCs about OTR) updated [resubmitting with politeness removed, as it was rejected by your spam bot] This is your bug tracker, not mine. I merely found a problem in a part of your project. I am sure that you, being a maintainer of this project, have the ability to transfer this issue from trac to trac-plugins, […] https://trac.gajim.org/ticket/8344#comment:2
  33. Ge0rG Asterix: no, I'm merely asking you not to close off bug reports from people who take the time to report them despite not even being users of your application :P
  34. Ge0rG Asterix: and if you have ever seen yaxim, it's in a much sadder state than Gajim.
  35. Asterix I just close bugs that are not related to my application. The bug is related to a plugin from a contributor that don't maintain its code and kindly did it for the community
  36. Ge0rG Asterix: and that plugin is related to your application.
  37. Asterix if what you ask me is to maintain all the plugins, the only solution I have to offer is to remove all the one I didn't do ...
  38. Ge0rG Asterix: no, all I ask you to do is to move the bug request from the application to the plugins tracker.
  39. Ge0rG Though you might consider actually fixing the bug, as it provides a nice way to DoS Gajim users.
  40. Asterix I can't have a bug manager job + infrastructure maintainer job + coder job + bug fixing job + ... alone ... so what I ask to user is to report bugs in the correct bug ttracker, and when they don't (I perfectly understand that they are not aware of the 2 bug trackers) I kindly point to the correct bug tracker
  41. Ge0rG Asterix: it took me slightly more than one hour to submit the bug in the first place, and I had to type it twice (both due to a flaky mobile connection on my train trip). I'm not sure I'm brave enough to try it again.
  42. Ge0rG I also had to solve a captcha and was twice rejected for being a spam bot.
  43. Ge0rG and I'm not even using Gajim, or any of its plugins.
  44. Asterix yes, I'm sorry about that, if there were no spammers (1500 spam try in the last 2 days) we wouldn't have those spamm filters ...
  45. Asterix you also had a support in 2 minuts in the room to submit the report
