  10. Nick wonders what a sensible merging of the roster and MUC list would look like
  11. mathieui Madness.
  12. Nick well, technically xchat does this, but it does have less information to show
  13. Nick uses single-window-for-everything, but runs out of horizontal space for tabs
  14. Nick even double-row tabs would be better than the left/right clicky arrow, I think, but getting rid of the tabs altogether would be better still
  15. Link Mauve Nick, there is an option to put the tabs on another side.
  16. Link Mauve I used to put them on the lrft.
  17. Link Mauve I used to put them on the left.
  18. mathieui same here
  19. mathieui horizontal tabs just aren’t enough
  20. Nick I think when I last did that, it took up too much space with the roster next to it, or... something. but that was 1280x1024
  21. Nick tries in 1920x1080
  22. Nick hmmmm
  23. Nick it's not terrible, but there are a few omissions and I don't like the roster placemnet
  24. Nick placement*
  25. Nick I can't scroll up and down to see which tabs are activated without changing tab, and I also can't see which direction I should go to get to a tab that has notifications
  26. Nick something something, patches welcome ;)
  27. Link Mauve Isn’t there a shortcut to go to the next tab that has notifications?
  28. Link Mauve I remember using that long ago.
  29. Link Mauve But then I switched to mcabber then poezio, and don’t think I could go back.
  30. Nick dunno, but quite often I just want to see which other things are active without switching to a different room or IM
  31. Nick having the active ones bubble to the top would be irritating all to hell
  32. Link Mauve In poezio, only active tabs are displayed, the other ones are just hidden.
  33. Link Mauve You can still go to them, but they don’t take screen space.
  34. Link Mauve Anyway, I should sleep.
  35. Link Mauve I’ve been in zombie mode for about one hour already.
  36. Nick I think I just need to add a scrollbar to the right, and have the top and bottom arrows flash if I can get to a notification with them
  37. Nick yes. sleep :)
  38. Link Mauve I don’t think scrollbars are available with GTK+’s tabs widget.
  39. Link Mauve But the flashing probably is.
  40. Link Mauve Good night. \o_
  41. Nick decoupling the scrolling from the tab changing is essential for me in this mode ^^
  42. Nick night, I'll have a play
