Bug description
Text formatting options grayed out when chatting with Google Talk users. Tooltip says "This contact does not support HTML"
I could not find any references at all to rich text formatting or HTML with Google Talk. I checked the FAQ, looked through tickets, ran a lot of custom Google searches, and tried to ask about this in the Gajim sup[…]

invalid:
unfortunately Google Talk doesn't run on my OS, so I can't test. But the message means that this client doesn't announce (via caps) that it does understand HTML formatting. So Gajim does the right thing: don't use a feature that other doesn't support.

johnnygajim is still alive, that's good
Asterixof course it is! I don't have time to do much things unfortunatly, but I try ...
ZashHey Asterix, what's the status of MAM in Gajim?
Asterixstill the same: the disco part is not done, so it's not really usable
ZashThe <x> tag thing I mentioned will be in 0.10
AsterixGajim 0.10 (01 May 2006)
ZashProsody 0.10 (TBD)
Asterixha :) ok
Asterixthe x tag mentionning it's a pm or not?
ZashYes
Asterixis it in a XEP?
ZashThe MUC XEP has it for presence that passes trough
Asterixwe're not interested in presences but in messages with MAM
ZashI know
Zash"put this <x> tag in PMs" isn't in any XEP
Asterixso this behaviour is only for prosody, that's nice, but we'll still have to do the disco thing for it to be usable for all servers
Asterixand I think a little useless
Asterixbecause when we receive a message without this <x>, we can't know if it's a normal message or not
Asterixmaybe it's a pm from a server that doesn't add this <x> tag

I can also confirm this bug.
The normal start of Gajim in Windows works correctly.
