  4. mkesper Hi all, have the first log for #7523
  5. mkesper If you accept #7552, collecting such things will become much easier in the future. :)
  6. bot RSS: Feeds for Gajim • Ticket #7552 (Enable crash logging by default) created problem If you want to collect crash info from several people you first got to enable everyone the crash logging. analysis Crash logging does not add very man ressource constraints, file is very small. enhancement recommendation Enable crash logging by default for everyone, if needed add a toggle to switch it off manually. https://trac.gajim.org/ticket/7552
  7. bot RSS: Feeds for Gajim • Ticket #7552 (Enable crash logging by default) updated I like this idea, yet the biggest problem is that debug file may reach to up to 50MB and beyond, and some users would not like to have this in their systems, especially when Gajim (actually, GTK+) under Windows already takes over 100MB of disk space. Perhaps, adding a shortcut to gajim.exe -v and naming it to Gajim (deb[…] https://trac.gajim.org/ticket/7552#comment:1
  8. Darlan Ge0rG would you like to make a suggestion, at #7552, on how to make users, at the end-user level, to easily enable debug?

  10. Ge0rG Darlan: I'm on the run, can you ping me in 10 hours?
  11. Darlan Sure.
  12. fedor.brunner Hello, have installed a new SSL certificate to *.gajim.org ?

  14. bot RSS: Feeds for Gajim • Ticket #7553 (Advanced Configuration Editor (ACE) gets much too big on filtering) updated I think you should release a beta2 version of Gajim, also because of this glitch, which is, already, fixed. https://trac.gajim.org/ticket/7553#comment:2
  15. fedor.brunner For anyone interested in signing with PGP keys, there are Debian recommendations for strengthening the PGP keys. http://www.debian-administration.org/users/dkg/weblog/48 . These recommendation have been already made in 2009, so now they should really important for anyone using PGP.

  17. mkesper Trac: How can I search for tickets created by me? I tried "my tickets" which is not what I expected. ;)
  18. Darlan mkesper, check status "closed" and click "Update" <https://trac.gajim.org/query?status=!closed&reporter=mkesper>.
  19. mkesper Darlan, can I save custom queries somehow except bookmarking?
  20. Darlan I do not understand how and where do you want to save them?
  21. 0xAFFE Darlan, trac supports custom queries and they are saved into the database, but it seems that this feature is disabled for this trac.
  22. mkesper thanks. :)
  23. Maranda hmm did anyone notice an issue with incoming warnings on the status bar about incoming messages?

  25. pep. I there, I have some questions about gajim and audio/video
  26. pep. I'm running archlinux, and gajim-hg (up-to-date), there's not python-farstream on the repos, so I downloaded the one from debian
  27. pep. installed gstreamer-plugins-bad and python modules, and I can "import farstream" from a py2 interpreter
  28. pep. though, gajim doesn't seem to notice it since it's still not checked in the list of available features
  29. pep. what do I need to do?
  30. dicson pep. /src/common/gajim/py line 175-186
  31. mkesper Any hints how I can download plugins behind a firewall? Plugin Manager doesn't seem to work
  32. dicson mkesper, hg clone
  33. mkesper dicson, ok, will try
  34. dicson pep., import gst import glib works fine in console?
  35. pep. dicson, what /src?
  36. pep. ah, found it
  37. dicson gajim_dir/src
  38. pep. I get a warning from gst, "import** Message: pygobject_register_sinkfunc is deprecated (GstObject)", but it works
  39. pep. and glib works fine too
  40. dicson try import gst
  41. dicson conference = gst.element_factory_make('fsrtpconference') session = conference.new_session(farstream.MEDIA_TYPE_AUDIO)
  42. dicson no idea
  43. dicson I do not know how it works
  44. mkesper I hate Windows. You can't even change a "link" remoteley because it checks the path against your local filesystem. :(
  45. pep. gst.ElementNotFoundError: fsrtpconference
  46. dicson problem in gst maybe
  47. dicson pep., https://trac.gajim.org/ticket/7420
  48. dicson pep., http://bredsaal.dk/gst-elementnotfounderror-gconfaudiosink-istanbul-xubuntu
  49. dicson I have gstreamer0.10-gconf installed
  50. pep. on archlinux?
  51. dicson debian
  52. pep. :/
  53. dicson This package contains the GStreamer plugin for getting the information about which sources or sinks should be used for audio and video from GConf.
  54. pep. gonna install it see if it works
  55. pep. it seems like I already have all these files
  56. dicson :-/
  57. pep. http://bpaste.net/show/GJmV66QZY1Wzk7F7IsXV/
  58. dicson /usr/lib/i386-linux-gnu/gstreamer-0.10/libgstgconfelements.so
  59. dicson in gstreamer0.10-gconf
  60. dicson https://www.archlinux.org/packages/extra/i686/gstreamer0.10-good-plugins/files/
  61. dicson have you gstreamer0.10-good-plugins 0.10.31-3?
  62. pep. I don't
  63. pep. installing
  64. pep. /usr/lib/gstreamer-0.10/libgstgconfelements.so ; got it
  65. pep. though I still get the same error from the gst package (python)
  66. dicson I have no idea
  67. pep. I'm also installing gst-plugins-good (1.2.0)
  68. pep. still nothing
  69. Darlan Ge0rG, are you available?

  72. Asterix pep.: problems with audio/video?
  73. pep. yep
  74. Asterix what's your pb?
  75. pep. I installed a lot of packages, http://bpaste.net/show/FH2DPAgJuS8z9H7y0znT/ ; but I still have this error: "gst.ElementNotFoundError: fsrtpconference"
  76. pep. (import gst; conference = gst.element_factory_make('fsrtpconference'))
  77. Asterix which distro is it?
  78. pep. I don't know where it tries to find the file, (I suppose it's a file)
  79. pep. archlinux
  80. pep. I got farstream-python from debian though
  81. pep. I can import it in a py2 interpreter
  82. Asterix ok, let me try to fdind where it comes from on my debian
  83. Asterix hmm I have this libfsrtpconference.so file, but it doesn't come from any of my installed gstreamer0.10-* ...
  84. Asterix ha it comes from libfarstream
  85. pep. I do have /usr/lib/gstreamer-1.0/libfsrtpconference.so
  86. Asterix -1.0 ...
  87. Asterix Gajim uses -0.10
  88. pep. yep
  89. pep. (archlinux uses farstream0.2.3 btw)
  90. Asterix maybe there is a compilation option to compile it for gstreamer0.10 ?
  91. Asterix haa wait ...
  92. Asterix libfarstream-0.2-2 installes it only in gstreamer-1.0
  93. Asterix libfarstream-0.1-0 installs it in gstreamer-0.10
  94. pep. :/
  95. Asterix so you nees an older version of libfarstream
  96. pep. is it the same file?
  97. pep. or can I copy the one from debian?
  98. Link Mauve pep., there is farstream-0.1 in ArchLinux.
  99. Asterix it's not the same file
  100. Link Mauve Asterix, how much work would it be to upgrade to Gstreamer 1.0?
  101. Link Mauve Err, 1.2 now.
  102. pep. right, there's farstream0.1
  103. Asterix no idea ... I guess there is no python bindings, so we need to switch to gi (done in gtk3)
  104. Link Mauve Ah, so everything will be upgraded at the same time.
  105. pep. so if this works I'll be able to remove almost all gstreamer packages I installed today, maybe >_<
  106. Link Mauve Great. :)
  107. Link Mauve pep., you can already remove every 1.0 one, if you did that only for Gajim.
  108. Asterix Link Mauve: I hope so ...
  109. Link Mauve I expect minor API changes.
  110. Asterix probably yes ...
  111. pep. ok, nice, so the package farstream-0.1 also installs python2.7/site-packages/farstream.so
  112. pep. so we do have a python binding on arch
  113. Asterix I have a patch for gtk3 branch that I tested with the help of Olivier Crete (because that required some modifications in gi, so I have to patch it
  114. Asterix I don't know if they are now included ...
  115. pep. ah, session = conference.new_session(farstream.MEDIA_TYPE_AUDIO) # -> AttributeError: '__main__.FsRtpConference' object has no attribute 'new_session'
  116. pep. Asterix, no idea? :/
  117. Asterix hmm no ... that's what gajim tell you when you try to run an audio call?
  118. pep. no, actually doing what dicson suggested, and I'm trying myself what you do to set HAVE_FARSTREAM
  119. Asterix ok
  120. Asterix Link Mauve: you use Arch, don't you?
  121. Link Mauve Not really.
  122. Link Mauve I still have it on my server, but their change to systemd made me switch.
  123. Asterix ok...
  124. Asterix so you can't tell me if it works for you ..
  125. Darlan "Send file?" is not translatable! Content: "Do you want to send this file to CONTACT"
  126. Darlan Drop a file on contact row to see this dialog.
  127. Asterix prim_text = 'Send file?'
  128. Asterix indeed not translatable
  129. Darlan What would you do?
  130. Asterix for the moment, I work ...
  131. Asterix and then I sleep ...
  132. Darlan Would you keep this string untranslatable or not?
